Harvey Whitcomb is an Architect and Artist whose career embraces many different facets. He has been practicing architecture continuously for over 30 years and is experienced in the full range of project requirements for Educational, Institutional, Commercial, Industrial, Single and Multi-family Residential Facilities. He is also experienced in Facility Programming, Facility Assessments, Master Planning, Design and Project Management. Extensive experience in specifications, marketing and construction administration. Harvey has specialized in a variety of project types, including educational in both the K-12 and Higher Education categories, Laboratories, Correctional & Justice facilities, Retail & Mixed Use Residential, Newspaper facilities, and Multi-family Residential buildings. He also has experience in Historic Restoration and in managing LEED project efforts. His primary current role are centers around Project Management and the coordination of both Architectural staff and Consulting Engineers through all project phases, from Programming, Master Planning and Concept Design through Design Development, Construction Documentation, Bidding/Negotiation and Construction Administration. He has also had the primary design role on a number of projects. He has considerable experience in developing and writing Project documentation of all types. He is familiar with Contracts and typically writes the contracts for all types of Consultants. His experience includes due diligence investigations and reports, as well as other building evaluations. He has provided the expertise for multiple Quality Assurance/Quality Control reviews for the various Project Phases. Harvey is also a successful artist creating abstract geometric mosaics using unique recycled materials. He has had multiple exhibitions in several local galleries and has pieces in many private collections and has pieces on permanent display in the Thornton, CO City Center building.
